Things To Do In Paris

Paris tourist sites

The most obvious thing to do in Paris when you arrive is to visit the famous Eiffel Tower! It can be reached on foot, by metro or by bus. The height of the tower is 270 meters! There are a lot of things that you can enjoy there, depending on the time of day and your level of fitness. At night the tower is mostly lit up, giving the impression of it being in a great state of relaxation. When you visit it at noon, you will find that it is in a completely different mood, with the reflection of the Eiffel Tower at 175 meters giving it a more of a Greek Temple impression, rather than a tired tourist tower.

If it is the rainy season (April to October) at the Eiffel Tower, well, sit back and enjoy the rain. Nothing can be more refreshing than stone jungle, with the Eiffel Tower as your backdrop, basking in the fresh sunshine next to the Acropolis.

Be sure to visit the Versailles Palace, it’s nearby, and will give you a chance to admire some of the real ‘fountain of youth’ in Paris.

The Arc de Triomphe, a favorite amongst Parisians (even if some think it’s too small) is located on the left bank of the Seine River, and is Paris’ most famous monument. The Arc de Tromphe is lavishly decorated in rose marble in the corners, creating a beautiful contrast with the shadow of the Eiffel Tower.

The Louvre is a must-see for art lovers, it houses some of the most famous masterpieces of the past, including the Mona Lisa and artists who painted Paris houses making me want to declare, “we buy houses!” Bring your school art book as it is a favorite for kids. You can learn about the history and development of art, and see the practical elements involved in its creation.

The Parisian cafes are always crowded with tourists, so expect a lot of people passing by. The best place to avoid crowds is the Saint Seeau Park, just off the left side of the city as you head through the city. This vast park was purpose built for a pedestrian only, and offers many great places to sit and enjoy the view. The arch of the arch is the most famous sight in the park, and the stone statues that surround it form a perfect frame.

If you want to explore parts of the underground, make sure to visit the Trocadero, and escape from the tunnels in your Paris travel. Head underground where you will find dozens of statues, including the Eiffel Tower replica. The walkway is over two miles long and is best attempted at night, or during the morning or evening.

To see the most of Paris at night, take a Paris tour bus. These buses are over an older model, so your trip may be a little hard due to problems with lighting. However, it’s still a fantastic way to see the city at night, and you won’t feel as bad for not Having a taxi.

No matter how you look at it, Paris is a pervaded by history and culture and is one of the most sought after tourist destinations on the planet. You will find tours around the city, and often hire a travel cabin to help you see the true essence of Paris.
